Unwind Your Wrists: The Ultimate 10 Wrist Stretchers for the Modern Office Worker

With our world evolving towards a more digital landscape, many of us find ourselves spending countless hours typing away at our keyboards or scrolling through screens. Our wrists, often underappreciated, bear the brunt of these actions, leading to aches, fatigue, and in worse cases, conditions like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. 

But worry not, friends! Today we have something special that will help to keep those precious wrists of ours healthy and relaxed. We're excited to share the ultimate 10 wrist stretchers that you can easily incorporate into your daily office routine. 

 

Prayer Stretch: With your palms pressed together in a prayer position, gently push your hands downwards. Hold this stretch for a few seconds.

 

 

Wrist Extension Stretch: Stretch out your arm with your palm facing down. Using your other hand, gently pull your fingers down towards the floor.

Wrist Flexion Stretch: Similar to the Extension Stretch, but this time, have your palm facing upwards before pulling your fingers towards you.

 

Finger Pull-Backs (also called “gamer stretches): One by one, gently pull each finger back towards the wrist.

 

Wrist Rolls: Rotate your wrists gently in a circular motion. Make sure to switch up the directions.

Desk Press: Place your hands flat on your desk, fingers pointing towards you. Gently lean forward to feel a light stretch in your forearms.

Fist to Fan: Make a tight fist, then extend your fingers wide, like a fan. Repeat this motion to relieve tension.

Wall Stretch: Stand at arm’s length from a wall, place your palms flat against it, fingers pointed up, and lean in.

 

 

Wrist Curls: With a light weight (or water bottle), hold it in your hand with your palm facing up. Slowly flex your wrist up and down.

 

Arm Shakes: Lastly, shake your hands as though you're trying to air dry them. It's simple but surprisingly effective in relieving wrist tension.
